What We're Working On: Courtney's Dental Office - Inspired To Style

What We’re Working On: Courtney’s Dental Office

by

In 2015, I had the pleasure of working with Courtney and Carlton Jones to create an elegant master bedroom.

Recently, I had a chance to reconnect with Courtney (and her sweet baby girl!) to working on another very special project–her new dental office!

The Client

When Courtney decided to open her own family dentistry office, she was excited that this new venture would give us the excuse to work together again.

Who am I kidding? I was excited, too!

One of the things that was the most important to Courtney was that her space would be warm and inviting–far from the typical, sterile dental office.

She solicited my help to pull together the materials, finishes, colors and furnishings to create just the right effect!

Ultimate Goals and Challenges

Studies show that one of the number one things most people fear is a trip to the dentist!

In an effort to put her clients at ease, Courtney and her staff have not only focused on high-touch, exceptional client interactions, but they’ve also allowed us to use colors, furniture, accessories and artwork to create an atmosphere of comfort.

Obviously, our biggest challenge was making this commercial space feel more like a home than an office.

To accomplish this, we used the power of color and a few simple styling elements that made a huge difference:

  • We used Courtney’s logo to choose the wall and trim colors.
  • We choose comfortable seating so that clients could relax while they waited.
  • We added art and accessories that played off of the colors in the logo and added more interest to the space.

The final touch was a ceiling light fixture that really took the space to the next level!

In the end, all of the elements came together to create a space that makes me and the team want to go to the dentist every week!

The Transformation

The reception area went from no walls or ceiling…

…to this!!!

The consult room went from stark and cold…

…to this!

Takeaways

The most important thing to note from this project is that you can make ANY space warm and inviting with the right color palette, furniture and accessories!

Courtney wanted to have a dental office that reflected the kind of experience her valuable clients will come to expect: caring, inviting and exceptional.

We are quite sure that her elevated customer experience AND her beautiful new office space put her head and shoulders above a normal visit to the dentist!
