It’s time for another update on our Villeroy & Boch Bathroom Challenge!
Not sure what I’m talking about?
You can catch up by reading the first three posts of this series:
With only one more week before the big reveal, you’ve seen lots of our favorite elements for this space!
Last week, I shared a sneak peek of our beautiful Calcutta Marble Herringbone Tile!
You can just imagine how perfectly it works with the wallpaper we’ve chosen for this room.
Our Next Element: Fire
You’ve probably guessed that the “fire” in this Four Elements themed room is represented by the lighting.
I am a firm believer that lighting can transform any space by making it brighter and more stylish, and trust me, this room NEEDED some light!
Since there are no windows in this room (read that as: no natural light), I had my work cut out for me!
To illuminate the area above the vanity, I chose two Visual Comfort E. F. Chapman Right Angle Single Sconces.
I love the clean lines and the simplicity of the style, and the slim profile means that it won’t cover up too much of the wallpaper!
Next, I wanted a large-scale statement piece to really kick the room up a notch!
Enter this BEAUTIFUL Hudson Valley Cresson Pendant!
I love the scale of this pendant (it’s 25.5 inches tall!), and the combination of brass and black metal along with the opal accents found on all four sides!
Thanks to our fabulous contractor and subs, this project has moved along quite seamlessly (and trust me, that is not always the case!).
We removed the pedestal sink with its deck mounted faucet. After rerouting the plumbing we are now ready to install our new wall mounted faucet!
Goodbye stained concrete floors. Hello gorgeous tile!
Let there be light!
Bring on the wallpaper!
Just a few more elements to share with you before the big reveal. Trust me, you are going to LOVE how this room turned out!
We’ll share another progress report next week!
In the meantime, don’t forget to follow the hashtag #VBColorsTheBathroom and their Instagram @VilleroyBochBathUSA!
